Prelaunch privacy notice
Effective date: October 6, 2026.
This notice covers the BND Firm Desk information site and limited authentication setup operated by BetterCase at bdinjury.app and its sign-in subdomains. It does not describe a live case-data or mailbox service, which has not been launched.
Information used during sign-in
If you choose Google sign-in, Google and our authentication provider, Clerk, process your Google account identifier, name, email address, email-verification information, and profile image if supplied. The configured permissions are basic identity scopes: openid, email, and profile. They do not permit reading your Gmail messages or Google Drive files.
Why it is used and where it is stored
Identity information is used to create and maintain an authentication account, establish sessions, test sign-in, and support access checks. Authentication accounts and sessions are stored and processed by Clerk. Google handles the Google authentication step. The public information pages are hosted by Vercel, which processes network-request information such as IP addresses and browser details to deliver and protect the site.
Access and sharing
BetterCase administrators may access identity and diagnostic information to configure, support, and secure sign-in. Google, Clerk, and Vercel process information as needed to provide their respective services. This prelaunch configuration does not use Google identity data for advertising, sale, or training general-purpose AI models. Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law.
Cookies and sessions
The sign-in service uses cookies or equivalent browser storage to maintain authentication and security state. This static information site does not include an application analytics script.
Retention and requests
Authentication records remain in the authentication service until removed by an administrator or under the provider’s applicable retention practices. This notice does not promise a fixed deletion interval. Contact matt@bettercase.ai to request account correction, account removal, or information about the data held for your account. We may need to verify the request and coordinate removal with our service providers; security, legal, and backup records may be subject to separate retention.
Your choices
You can choose not to sign in, sign out after testing, and revoke the Google connection through your Google Account settings. Revoking Google access does not by itself delete an existing Clerk account; request account removal separately.
Case and mailbox data
Do not upload case records or connect a mailbox through this prelaunch setup. Before those features are enabled, BetterCase and the firm must establish the applicable access, processing, retention, and support arrangements and update this notice to match the implemented service.
Updates and contact
Changes to the service may require an updated notice before new processing begins. Privacy questions can be sent to matt@bettercase.ai. Do not include confidential case information in your initial request.
